24 Hour Emergency Vetcare

Outside our regular hours, emergencies are handled by our 24-hour emergency teams at Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery, 101 Sternhold Avenue, Streatham Hill, London SW2 4PF, and Mead Veterinary Surgery, Mead Road, Dartford, Kent DA1 2RH.

If possible, please phone ahead on 020 8674 3525 for Streatham Hill or 01322 223311 for Mead Vets so our team is ready when you arrive. Both sites offer convenient parking, making it easy to access urgent care when needed.

Mead Vets is located at the corner of Mead Road and Princes Road. It is on the Crayford side of the Lowfield and Princes Road’s intersection, at the entry to the Tree estate.

When to Seek Emergency Care

  • Difficulty breathing or collapse
  • Severe bleeding, trauma, or suspected fractures
  • Ingestion of toxins or foreign objects
  • Seizures or loss of consciousness
  • Unproductive straining (particularly in male cats or large dogs)
  • Persistent vomiting, diarrhoea, or signs of pain
